This morning, Domino’s officially announced its bid to launch a digital ordering platform via AnyWare in cars by late 2019. The pizza chain has partnered up with in-vehicle commerce technology trailblazer Xevo, whose technology is currently in over 25 million cars.
In 2014, Domin’s and Ford Motors brought voice order to the Ford Sync vehicle. The following year, AnyWare overtook the initiative and the option is still available today.
The new in-vehicle app allows customers to use a touchscreen to locate their nearest store, place an order, and track their pizza. Voice ordering will be available as well. The feature will automatically be loaded onto cars with Xevo in a few months.
