Upon closer inspection, it was revealed that the stray dog was only a year old and in even worse condition than they thought. Not only was it severely underweight and malnourished, but that it was also full of parasites and suffering from mange.
The staff also discovered that what they were looking at wasn’t just any typical mutt.
Now dubbed as “New Boy”, they found out that it was a male wolf-dog hybrid and that its mixed ancestry was putting its life in danger. So, the shelter alerted the non-profit group W.O.L.F Sanctuary to let them know of New Boy’s situation.
The said organization is dedicated to helping provide loving homes to captive-born wolves, as well as wolf-dog hybrids.
