In the 1956 film The Ten Commandments, Nefertiti is seen wearing a teal silk dress. The problem? Between the 16th and 13th centuries when the movie was supposed to have taken place, the only method of dying silk was by using natural tints—a blue dress would have been historically impossible.

Costume Change?

During the scene in La La Land (2016) where Mia and Sebastian are in a road rage incident, Sebastian was wearing a brown shirt. When he returned to his apartment and spoke with his sister, the shirt was blue. In the following scene, Sebastian is practicing the piano in the brown shirt once again. Damien Chazelle, the director, acknowledged the issue during the film’s audio commentary.
