Isaly’s was founded in the early 1900s. It was known for its chipped chopped ham and gained fame for inventing the Klondike bar. Although the chain was named after its owner, it was said to stand for: “I shall always love you, sweetheart.” The company was sold off and repurchased a number of times over the years and no longer has any brick-and-mortar stores.
