“Sheltered College Freshman”
The premise of this meme is problematic from the beginning: aside from the various sexist tropes, there aren’t actually a lot of college freshman who are still “sheltered.” When professional Colombian model named Kerin Portillo discovered a stock photo of herself had gone viral in 2014, she took to Reddit to answer questions about how the Internet had impacted her life. She was able to book lots of modeling gigs for billboards, magazines, and advertisements.
