"Glee" star Cory Monteith died suddenly from an accidental heroin overdose in 2013. He was dating costar Lea Michele at the time, and following his death, creator Ryan Murphy said there would be a tribute episode that correlated with his character Finn's death. He was written out of the final two episodes of Glee's fourth season in order to attend rehab due to a push from Paramount studios.
