Civil rights activitist Al Sharpton claims he was ordained as a Pentecostal minister when he was just nine years old. Although this has yet to be proven, Sharpton did become a Baptist minister in 1994.

He’s made hundreds of appearances in both television and radio over the years, of which has helped him rack up a net worth of more than $5 million.

Ravi Zacharias

After failed suicide attempt while he was 17, Ravi Zacharias was given a bible while recovering in the hospital. His mother then read John 14 to him, an act of which he claims changed his life. Soon after, Zacharias and his family would move to Canada, where he completed his studies and became a minister.

In 1971, he traveled to Vietnam to preach to American soldiers, which he followed up with a trip to Cambodia as part of the Christian and Missionary Alliance in Canada in 1974. Inspired by his trips, he started Ravi Zacharias International Ministries in Toronto in 1984.

After establishing his own ministry, Ravi Zacharias published several award-winning works, which includes Jesus Among Other Gods, and The End of Reasons.

He remains famous internationally, mainly because of his widely successful radio programs, Let My People Think and Just Thinking.
