Kay Arthur
Although born into an extremely religious family, Kay Arthur’s early life saw her living a sinful life. After learning of the suicide of his first husband after their divorce, Arthur went through a series of bad relationships, which included being with a married man for two years. Eventually, she turned to her faith for guidance, saying that she “went down on her knees a harlot and got up a saint.”
Arthur married a second time in 1965 and became a missionary in Mexico along with her husband before returning to Tennessee to found Precept Ministries International, which was originally named Reach-Out Ranch.
Arthur has since published more than 100 books and Bible studies, and is frequent speaker in many international conferences. She’s also the host of a daily Bible Study Teaching program called “Precepts of Life”, which is available via radio, TV and online.
Kay Arthur reportedly receives over $100k from Precept Ministries every year.
