Texas Shelter Cat Placed in Solitary Confinement for Repeatedly Helping Fellow Felines Escape

This domestic shorthair has officially been put in time out for breaking the law. Quilty, 6 years old, apparently "loves to let cats out of the senior room" and was doing it several times a day, according to the animal rescue and adoption organization that currently houses him.

A Facebook post from late last month describes how Quilty would continuously open the senior room, allowing for the other senior cats to stage their escape. Quilty's online bio states: "I do know that I like to open closed doors. When I see one it challenges me, and I work hard to get it open and I’m usually successful."

Quilty's roommates missed him when he was banished to the lobby, but the staff didn't miss the morning cat wrangling quite as much. "We'll just have to agree to disagree here," they said.
