Leave it to Steve Carell to make a scary experience funny.
An avid bicyclist, Carell made a mini mistake while riding one day.
“I made a turn and I didn’t see the car behind me, and they hit me from behind, so I went up over the handlebars,” he explained.
He said that he knew to “tuck and roll” so avoid injury (which he did, thank goodness!) But, the woman in the car was distraught.
“She was distraught, obviously, and I went over to her and my bike was sort of stuck under the front of her car, and she’s saying, ‘Oh, my God! Oh, my God! … It’s Steve Carell!'” he recalled.
The situation quickly turned around into a mini meet and greet session.
“She was so excited that she hit me; it really was kind of a fun experience, like a fun fan encounter.”
Luckily, all was well and everyone left on a positive note… Even though Carell is now without a bike!
