It’s officially that time of year againâeverywhere you look, candy stores and groceries are stocking the shelves in preparation for Easter. Chocolate is integral to the Easter spirit: chocolate bunnies, Cadbury Creme eggs, Reese’s. The U.K. grocery chain Sainsbury, however, has taken the seasonal trend a step further.
This year, Sainsbury will be selling a giant 120-gram “Cheesealicious Easter Egg.” The store’s official cheese buyer, Emma Garvey, reviewed the product as an “obvious and exciting” addition to the spring collection.” The cheese egg will retail for only â¤5.
Well look at that…the moment we've all been waiting for. Great seeing our Blacksticks Blue Cheester Egg hitting the shelves of @asda today, and @morrisons in the coming weeks! Thanks to all our hardworking team for making it happen, and to all our brilliant customers! Enjoy! pic.twitter.com/d9pcnFdUhw

“We’re always looking for new and unique products to offer to our customers, especially during gifting periods throughout the year when people are on the lookout for something special to give their loved ones,” said Garvey. Although Sainsbury doesn’t deliver outside the U.K., the egg will be available for purchase both in-store and online.
