One of the best jobs that you can have is the one that lets you travel the world. An even better one is a job that allows you to drink on the job. But a job that lets you travel and drink? It sounds too good to be true. But that is exactly what a recent viral job post is offering. Hospitality firm Inception Group and gin brand Bombay Sapphire is looking for a global ambassador to travel the world and sample their gin.
The job was created to commemorate the launch of a new kind of bar that was inspired by Phileas Fogg’s and his epic tale of traveling the world in 80 days. The bar is called Mr. Fogg’s Society of Exploration. It recently opened in Soho, London. Candidates can apply at the official website of Mr. Fogg’s bar where they can fill out an application form and submit a video explaining why they are ideal of the job.
But the job is more than just drinking and traveling. You will also have to document the journey in journals, social media, and an online blog. You will also have to collect botanicals and other ingredients that you so that when you return to London, you can create your “Around the World” cocktail.
The position is described as a paying job, but there are no specifics. Applicants will also have to be a skilled photographer, writer, and have a significant social media presence. Obviously, they will also have to have a valid passport, a taste for gin and an awareness of Mr. Fogg’s and Bombay Sapphire.
The few who are chosen will get to travel to incredible destinations such as India, Hong Kong, San Francisco, New York, and Lisbon from August to November. And to top it all off, each time they return to Mr. Fogg’s bar, they also get a shot of gin on the house.
