Earlier this week, a mother in Oklahoma was returning from a business trip and got quite a surprise from her family. Her son and husband were at the airport to meet her as she arrived. Their surprise was a funny sign that her son had made for her to read when she arrived. The sign read: “Welcome home from prison Mom!”
Barbara Nielsen was arriving home from a week-long trip for the manufacturing company she works for in Fort Worth, Arkansas. When she arrived at the gate, her son Daimen, and her husband Brandon Nielsen, were waiting for her at the gate. But the welcoming pair had a practical joke for Barbara. They made a homemade 4×3 foot sign that had a hilarious message.
Brandon took a photo of the large message and Daimen holding it with a big smile of his face. Thankfully, Barbara had a good sense of humor about the whole thing. She was even the one that had posted the photo on social media, where it quickly went viral.
“Brandon is a jerk, lol. This is the sign Daimen was holding when I got off the plane,” the original post reportedly said. Barbara and her friends found the incident funny, and some of them shared the picture on social media, where it got even more attention.
