Comforting Video of "Wee Granny" Will Help You Get Through Quarantine

Many of us are feeling down about the state of the world—it's a weird and frightening time to be alive. We don't know what's going to happen—either or us or our loved ones—and we can't even spend our days with the people we care about most. That's why one 93-year-old Scottish grandmother, also known as Wee Granny, wants to let you know that things are going to be just fine.

Wee Granny has become an Internet sensation after he granddaughter, Twitter user @islaanne1, posted an appropriately socially-distanced video oof her grandmother offering an update on her health and wellbeing.

Wee Granny let everyone know that she's perfectly alright and that you will be, too. Her thick Scottish accent only adds to the video's positive nature.

"I'm still here," she said cheerfully. "I tell ya, I'm like a bad penny. There's no getting rid of me."

If Wee Granny can outlast all this, so can everybody else. She also encouraged everyone to take the quarantine seriously.

"I hope you're all keeping well and doin' what you're told," she said. "Keep to the rooms and youse all be fine. It'll all pass."

Many people on social media found Wee Granny's upbeat attitude to be a source of comfort. Others asked if it was possible to hear from Wee Granny on a regular basis. Listen to Wee Granny—stay indoors, and remember that this isn't permanent.
