Oreo has announced the upcoming release of their new dark chocolate Oreo cookies to honor the winter solstice. What better way to celebrate the darkest and shortest day of the year?
The cookie certainly isn’t the wildest of Oreo’s bunch, however, sometimes we all need a little simplicity.
The new dark chocolate cookie will feature Oreo’s traditional chocolate wafer cookies sandwiched around new dark chocolate crème.
One thing to note, though, while the winter solstice will happen on December 21st, the Oreos won’t arrive at major retailers until January 2nd or 2019.
The good news is that the dark chocolate Oreos will be a permanent offering in the Oreo family, so you’ll be able to get your hands on these for quite some time.
2019 resolution: Eat more cookies.
