With the month of December just coming around the corner, many families are starting to decorate their houses for the holidays. One of the most important decorations for the upcoming Christmas season is, of course, the Christmas tree. So it helps to get ahead of everyone and pick up the best trees available. One of the most outrageous tree shopping instances was recorded when police in Massachusetts took a photo of a car with a gigantic tree tied to its roof.
The tree is clearly too large for the vehicle to handle, but that didn’t stop this Christmas shopper from trying to bring home the large tree on top of his car. The police were so appalled by the sight that they posted an image of the car and the tree on their official Facebook page last week. The post and the photo of the car and its tree have since gone viral. They also stopped the motorist and issued a statement on their post.
“Sudbury PD would like to remind you to transport your Holiday trees responsibly,” the caption read. “One of our officers stopped this vehicle on Route 20 today!” In the picture we see that the tree almost completely covers the car with parts of it hanging off the sides and far beyond the back of the vehicle. While it cannot be seen, the windshield is also probably obscured by the massive cargo on top of the car. The despite the hilarity of the situation, it can be dangerous, and the police officers had to stop the vehicle for safety concerns.
