When it comes to graduation pictures, you want to make sure that you have very memorable portraits. These pictures will be cherished for the rest of your life. But this young graduate took things to another level when she decided that she would pose for her graduation picture alongside a giant alligator. The photos were shared on social media, where it quickly went viral.
21-year old Makenzie Noland chose a different way of making her college portrait unique when she posed with a 14-foot alligator named Big Tex. She was actually in the water with the reptile at Gator Country Park in Beaumont. She recently graduated from Texas A&M and she visited the alligator park for her senior portraits. Despite how crazy this sounds, it is actually something that Noland is used to. She graduated majoring in wildlife ecology and she has been interning at the Gator Country Park for the past three months. Being in close proximity with the large reptile is actually something she is used to.
“I do this every day with Big Tex,” she said in an interview. “I just really wanted to show off what I had been doing everyday at this internship and also how proud I am to be graduating from Texas A&M. To bring the two of these things together is just incredible. My whole life I knew I wanted to work with animals, and people have always said you’re never going to make money but at the end of the day I will be happy, so I want to make that my career.”
