An Official Response
As the cries continued to get worse, the group of visitors got the local officials involved. There was no doubt that something was not right, and they were determined to find the cause. Unfortunately, the officials were less than enthusiastic about offering their assistance. They hadn’t witnessed the cries themselves and told the group to go about their day as planned. The visitors were shocked—why didn’t they want to help?
