The gigantic factory held 30,000 men and women workers at a time! They worked endlessly to make at least 300 bombers per month for the war against the Nazi regime. The Boeing B-17’s ended up dropping over 640,000 tons of bombs over Germany during the war. By the end, 12,731 had been crafted, and about fifty remain in working form!
