41. Track at least one thing you’re trying to improve

Whether it’s a habit or behavior or a skill, tracking it, measuring how you perform and seeing how much you’ve improved over a certain period of time is a good way to get better at something. Although it’s best to track only a few things or just one at a time.

Case in point, if you want to improve what you eat, take a picture of everything so you can determine if you really want to put that in your body. But, you can track anything however you please. Do what works for you. What’s important is that you actually start tracking.

Once you start tracking something, you become aware of your progress. And, once you become aware, you begin to report, and slowly, you begin to hold yourself accountable.
