42. Don’t put more than 3 items on your daily to-do list
When you shift your focus to purpose, your goals become a lot bigger and as a result, your priorities narrow down. Instead of trying to do a dozen things poorly, you start to realize that it’s better to focus on trying to do one thing better than anyone else in the world.
In his book, The 4-Hour Body, Tim Ferriss explains what he calls as the Minimum Effective Dose or MED, which he defines as the smallest dose that will yield the desired result. He also adds that anything past the MED is a huge waste, citing that water boils at 100°C at standard air pressure and does not become “more boiled” even if you add double the heat.
Keep this in mind and make sure that your daily to-do list is reflective of that.
