Comedian, writer, and actor Chevy Chase is actually really named Cornelius Crane, but he knew that wouldn't have gotten him far in Hollywood. His father was a book editor and magazine writer, and his mother was a concert pianist and heir to The Crane Company. He was nicknamed after "The Ballad of Chevy Chase," a medieval English song.
