Gods of Egypt lost $92 million at the box office, and for good reason—critics steamrolled director Alex Proyas the night before opening weekend. At the end of the day, Rotten Tomatoes awarded Gods of Egypt a measly 15%. Proyas likened the critics to “diseased vultures.”
