State of Emergency
The winds had grown so extreme on this day that emergency services in Victoria had received over 1000 calls for assistance. Gusts of up to 80 mph were wrecking havoc on vehicles and homes in the area. Still, the family decided to go on with their plan, as this was the only time they were all able to arrange to be together.
