A waitress at a Savannah, Georgia restaurant took matters into her own hands when a patron groped her. Emilia Holden, 21, a waitress at Vinnie Van Go-Go’s was working this past weekend when a man reached out and touched her backside as he walked by. Emilia refused to accept the unwarranted groping…
As seen in the video footage of the incident, Emilia responds by grabbing the patron by the shirt and throwing him against the wall before shouting at him as he sprawls to the floor.
Police were called to the restaurant and immediately arrested the man after watching the footage. The assaulter spent two nights in prison
“I just did what I felt was best,” she recalled. “I took the guy down and had my co-workers call the police.” Overall, Holden wants women to feel comfortable standing their ground and holding people accountable if they are ever involved in such a scenario.
“All that I want from my experiences is for women to know that it’s okay to stand up for yourself,” she said, before continuing: “You have every right to wear what you want and you most certainly have every right to defend yourself.”
