A teenager in Australia was almost killed after being bitten by his pet snake. The snake, an inland taipan, was truly no pet at all, as its venom is designed to be specifically dangerous to mammals. It's so dangerous that it is identified as one of the most deadly snakes in the world. Note to self: don't try to "own" one of them because they might just end up owning you.
