When Jerry Adams of Cwmbran, Wales, found a giant plastic dinosaur on eBay, he immediately knew he had to own it.
Naturally.
Adams, 58, paid £1,600 for the 15-foot-tall Allosaurus named Alun, a former attraction from Dan-yr-Ogof caves. Adams knew it was the perfect piece for his garden.
The money he paid for Alan will be donated to JDRF, a charity that helps people with type one diabetes. Adams has also set up a JustGiving page to assist with additional funds for the charity.

The goal for Adams was to help create a sensory garden in his front yard for his three autistic grandchildren filled with things they can see, hear, touch, and smell, and we’d say Alan makes a great addition.
