What Caused the Hostility?

The British invaded, and after a few days captured two elderly Sentinelese people and four children. Quickly, the elderly died. It is assumed that they contracted a disease that they were not immune to. Immediately after their deaths, the British returned the children (gifts in hand!) After this mishap, the British did not try to contact them again. This is a large reason why the tribe stays away from outside contact.
