In Back to the Future (1985), Michael J. Fox does a fantastic job playing the role of Marty McFly. However, during the school dance, he plays the song “Johnny B. Goode” on a ES-345 Gibson from 1958. Because the film was set in 1955, the guitar wouldn’t have been invented yet.
