These Terrible Uber Stories Are As Horrifying As They Are Awkward

Uber’s “zero-tolerance” policy for drug offenses may sound well-meaning, but it’s not exactly as strictly implemented as most of us passengers would like. Case in point, San Francisco UberX driver, Daveea Whitmore, had “at least one felony conviction involving prison time” for marijuana sales and still was able to become a partner with the ridesharing company.

To make matters worse, Whitmore added to his already long list of offenses, which included him calling a 28-year-old man named James Alva a “dirty Mexican f—t” and hitting him several times.
