In the 1990s, Turner was diagnosed with severe rheumatoid arthrities. The illness took over her entire body and filled her days with pain. She revealed that she was put on medication to help with the pain that made her gain weight. She became depressed and drank more. She's been very open about her struggles with her diagnosis and is feeling better by the day.
