Pete Burns, Dead or Alive's frontman, was best known for the single "You Spine Me Round (Like a Record)" as well as his androgynous appearance. His unique look was credited to many cosmetic surgeries that led to his bankruptcy. He even accused fellow singer Boy George of appropriating his image, which is refuted. He died in 2016 due to cardiac arrest. He was praised on the UK show "Strictly Come Dancing" and the hosts sent condolences to his family.
