Brian Jones, 27 Years Old
A founding member of The Rolling Stones, Jones and Keith Richards developed a style of duo-guitar playing that became the band's staple sound within the rhythm section. Though Jones founded and named the band, Richards and Mick Jagger began to take over the project creatively, considering they were a more successful songwriting pair than Jones. Eventually, his role diminished and he was asked to leave. Mick Taylor took Jones' place, and a month later, Jones was found dead in his swimming pool at 27 years old.
