Phillip Seymour Hoffman, 46 Years Old

Best known for his distinctly evil and eccentric characters, such as Truman Capote in Capote, a Scientologist in the Master, and his final role as Plutarch Heavensbee in The Hunger Games series, Hoffman was a widely admired American actor. He struggled with drug and alcohol abuse and relapsed in 2013 after years of sobriety. He died in 2014 due to an accidental overdose.
