Rolling Stone has called Notorious the greatest rapper to ever live. He was connected to Tupac Shakur's death because the two rappers were friends-turned-rivals, but six months after Shakur was murdered, Notorious was killed the same way. His second album, "Life After Death," was released just two weeks later, and posthumously gained a number one spot on the Billboard 200. In 2019, he was nominated for induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame for 2020.
