Ernest Angley
Born to a Baptist family in the 1920s, Ernest Angley became a Christian at the age of 18 in 1939. He first started off as a traveling Pentecostal faith healer and evangelist, before he was finally able to muster enough money to buy the Grace Cathedral, also known as the Temple of Healing Stripes, in Cuyohoga Falls, Ohio. He also decided to purchase the Channel 55 television station.
Initially having nothing to his name other than a tent, camper and a Bible, the North Carolina native now owns a Boeing 727 registered in Aruba that he reportedly uses to help transport missionaries and help people from all over the world.
