Williams was enraged when Disney used his voice as Genie to sell merchandise for the Aladdin movie without his permission. He told New York Magazine, “I don’t want to sell stuff. It’s the one thing I won’t do.” Apparently, Disney tried to get back in his good graces by sending him a Picasso painting valued at $1 million, in which Picasso imagined himself as Vincent Van Gogh.
