‘The Situation’s’ New Situation: An 8-Month Prison Sentence

As of Tuesday the 15th, Jersey Shore’s Mike ‘The Situation’ Sorrentino is officially behind bars.

Tuesday morning he officially surrendered to begin his 8-month sentence for tax evasion.

His attorney, Kristen Santillo, reported that he is serving his time the Federal Correctional Institution in Otisville, New York.

Before reporting to serve his sentence, he took to Twitter to share his prison mailing address, urging family, friends, and fans to write to him while he was locked up. With 1.3 million followers, seems like his chances of getting fanmail are pretty good.

Originally, his sentencing was to take place back in April, but luckily for the Sitch, it was pushed to October, and he wasted no time checking off all the boxes.

He was able to marry longtime girlfriend, Lauren Pesce, in a lavish November wedding before having to report and serve his time. He also got the chance to spend Thanksgiving and Christmas with his family before reporting. Sorrentino will be released by Halloween of 2019.
