#5. Weiss’ Murder
Fred Weiss’ was a mob associate whose body was found outside of his girlfriend’s State Island Condo on September 11, 1989. The hit was ordered by John Gotti, who feared Weiss would turn informant after he’d started facing fraud charges. The murder was conducted by the DeCavalcante crime family hit team. This one crime led to more than a half-dozen gangsters being put behind bars.
