Roosevelt Island Smallpox Hospital – New York City, New York
Built sometime in the 1850’s, this hospital mainly focused on smallpox. It is now completely falling apart and in shambles, but the Landmarks Preservation Commission has declared it a city landmark. It’s safe to explore.
