One dropped on Hiroshima, killing at least 70,000 individuals, and the other was dropped on Nagasaki, killing at least 45,000 individuals. Another 200,000 died due to health complications following the nuclear attack. Nowadays, 1% of the Japanese population is still suffering from the effects of the 1945 attacks.
