Noye was found guilty of conspiracy and sentenced to 14 years in prison. George Francis ended up getting murdered and McAvoy was a suspect. Noye murdered a motorist in Spain and was sentenced to life in prison. In 1998, Solly Nahome, who helped melt down the gold, was murdered outside of his home. Brian Perry was shot dead in 2001. In 2003, George Francis was shot dead. In 2015, John Palmer was shot dead. Most of the gold was not recovered.
