Brink’s-Mat Robbery
As one of the most iconic heists in London’s history, it also is told to be cursed as several murders have been linked to the case. In 1983, six robbers broke into the Brink’s-Mat warehouse where they thought would be £3.2 million in cash. They were let in by security guard Anthony Black and poured petrol over the staff in order to get them to open the vault. As it turns out, they ended up getting three tons of gold bullion and stole about £26 million worth of gold, diamonds, and cash.
