Harry Cohn Was Infamous for His Unwanted Advances

Cohn, one of the biggest producers in Old Hollywood, was actually the inspiration for the character of Jack Woltz in The Godfather. Cohn was the power-hungry president of Columbia Pictures, and he wielded his authority in the worst way possible: Cohn constantly demanded sexual favors from the actresses he employed, including Joan Crawford. She reportedly told him to “keep it in [his] pants” after a particularly grotesque comment, threatening that she would be seeing his wife and kids the following afternoon for lunch.
