CIcely Tyson was a force in the entertainment industry. Throughout her career she was nominated 13 times for a Primetime Emmy, winning twice. She was most recently known for her role aws Viola Davis' mom on "How to Get Away with Murder." She was a Kennedy Center Honorary and Presidential Medal of Freedom recipient. She passed away in January of 2021 at the age of 96.
