John Wayne as Genghis Khan
This movie was so bad that it actually killed people. John Wayne portrayed legendary emperor and conqueror Genghis Khan in the 1956 film The Conqueror. The movie was so terrible that producer Howard Hughes spent millions tracking down every copy of the film so it could never be seen again. Not only that, but the movie was filmed on the site of a radioactive wasteland, so half the cast and crew, including Wayne himself, died of cancer after filming had ended.
