Costner was another American actor who couldn’t do a British accent to save his life. In 1991’s Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves, Costner’s pitiful attempt at an accent was so bad that Cary Elwes, who played Robin Hood in a 1993 parody of the movie (Robin Hood: Men in Tights), famously said: “Unlike some other Robin Hoods, I can speak with an English accent.”
