People are always looking for the next great life hack, and most of them usually happen in the kitchen. The latest craze is this seemingly convenient way to peel garlic. Twitter, however, has responded with some sad news: literally no one has been able to make this hack work.
As someone who makes a lot of Korean food, this is the best method for getting garlic peeled!— ððððððððð ⣠ðððð ð (@VPestilenZ) June 17, 2019
With a simple twist of a pocket knife, garlic cloves are cleanly pulled from their sticky paper without any smashing, crushing, or shaking in jars. Not only did it not work for me but, according to Twitter, it did not work for anyone, not even America’s Test Kitchen. In fact, Helen Rosner, a person who is very good at food, is currently seeking medical attention after attempting it.
Stick with the two bowls method, friends, don’t let my blood have spilled in vain— Helen Rosner (@hels) June 19, 2019
Some people wonder if the video was doctored, though it seems unlikely.
