This is a photo of Dr. G.H. Byford in 1960. The optokinetic drum was used to conduct experiments to see reflex movements of the eyes and visual illusions. Dr. Byford is also wearing contact lenses with a mini lamp cemented to them in order to accurately track the movement of the eyes.
