“I’m not particularly happy with this event, which I think makes light of something which, to me, should be taken more seriously.” That makes sense, and David doesn’t blame his father’s uncertainty, stating, “I understand why people think it would fail. You see all of these other things that happened afterward- ‘marry a millionaire,’ that kind of thing. Clearly, they were looking at the wrong parts of it and not really getting it.” David absolutely acknowledged that it was a “spectacle wedding, but not a spectacle marriage.”
